INTO THE HIMALAYAS
Arrive in Chandigarh by 8 AM and set off for Narkanda (6-hour drive), the gateway to Spiti. Stop in Shimla to pick up essentials before reaching your boutique stay in Narkanda.
Enjoy a relaxed evening in the crisp mountain air.

CHITKUL – THE LAST VILLAGE BEFORE THE BORDER
Drive 7 hours (170 km) through lush forests and winding roads to Rakchham, a hidden valley gem. Check into your luxury Swiss tents, then head to Chitkul, the last inhabited village before the Chinese border.
Walk along the river, explore its wooden houses, and embrace the silence of the mountains.

INTO THE SPITI DESERT – TABO’S ANCIENT SECRETS
A 7-8 hour drive (180 km) takes you into the changing landscapes of Spiti. En route, visit Gue Monastery, home to a 500-year-old naturally mummified monk.
Arrive in Tabo, a village known for its ancient monastery and meditation caves. Spend the evening in traditional mud houses under a sky bursting with stars.

MONASTERIES, HIDDEN LAKES & KAZA
Start the day with a chanting session at Tabo Monastery, then explore the cliffside caves used by monks for meditation. Drive to Dhankar Monastery, perched on a dramatic cliff, before embarking on a 2-hour trek to Dhankar Lake, a secluded alpine wonder.
Continue to Kaza (60 km, 2 hours) for a relaxed evening. Drive 4-5 hours (110 km) to Kalpa, where the Kinner Kailash range dominates the skyline. Stroll through the quiet village lanes, visit the Kalpa Monastery, and enjoy the majestic mountain views from your boutique stay. DAY 7: KALPA’S BREATHTAKING VIEWS Overnight in Kaza.

FOSSILS, MONASTERIES & A SKYHIGH BRIDGE
Explore Langza, known as the fossil village, where marine fossils millions of years old can be found. Visit Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office, and send postcards from 14,400 ft.
Drive to Key Monastery, Spiti’s most picturesque gompa, before crossing Chicham Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in the world.

NAKO’S HIDDEN LAKE & BUDDHIST HERITAGE
Leave Kaza for Nako (5-6 hours, 110 km), where you’ll find a stunning high-altitude lake surrounded by prayer flags.
Visit Nako Monastery, one of the oldest in Spiti, and, if traveling in July, stop at Kungri Monastery to witness its annual festival.

KALPA’S BREATHTAKING VIEWS
Drive 4-5 hours (110 km) to Kalpa, where the Kinner Kailash range dominates the skyline.
Stroll through the quiet village lanes, visit the Kalpa Monastery, and enjoy the majestic mountain views from your boutique stay.

FROM DESERTS TO FORESTS
Depart for Theog/Kufri (6-hour drive), where Spiti’s arid landscapes give way to lush green forests and apple orchards.
Spend your last evening in a quaint orchard retreat, sipping fresh apple cider and unwinding in nature.

FAREWELL DRIVE TO CHANDIGARH
Take a scenic drive back to Chandigarh (6-7 hours), choosing the quieter, more picturesque routes over the busy highways.
Arrive at the airport by evening book flights after 7 PM to allow for any delays.
