Arrive in Dimapur and embark on a scenic drive to Pfutsero Nagaland’s highest and coldest town known for its breathtaking mountain views and cool climate En route enjoy the changing landscapes of lush hills and vibrant local villages Upon arrival explore the charming town visit local markets and experience the rich culture of the Chakhesang Naga tribe Savor the authentic taste of local rice beer a traditional Naga beverage often enjoyed during social gatherings

After a refreshing day relax with an overnight stay in Pfutsero

DZUKOU VALLEY TREK

Day 2DZUKOU VALLEY TREK

Begin with an early drive to Viswema the starting point for your Dzukou Valley trek renowned for its lush meadows rolling hills and seasonal blooms Trek to the Base Camp surrounded by breathtaking views of emerald valleys and unique rock formations Spend time exploring the valley’s pristine beauty dotted with rare flora like the Dzukou lily On your return take the Zakhama route offering a different scenic perspective with dense forests and rugged trails

After this exhilarating adventure head back to Kohima for an overnight stay

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and head out to Khonoma one of the oldest Angami Naga villages renowned for its rich cultural heritage and pioneering conservation efforts as Asia’s first Green Village Discover traditional Angami architecture terraced fields and the village’s heroic history in resisting British colonial forces Take a tour around the village with a local guide and also witness their unique farming methods

Spend the evening at a homestay in the village It’s a great way to immerse yourself in the typical Naga way of life

Day 5DZULEKE VILLAGE

Day trip to Dzuleke village and the Poilwa sheep farm Enjoy a scenic drive from Khonoma village to Dzuleke a scenic valley with a pristine river running through it Experience the dense jungles and transparent water and get a chance to spot the native Mithun animal if you are lucky Have lunch at the village and head to the Poilwa sheep farm It is a beautiful meadow with scenic views of the mountains witness firsthand the lives of the shepherds
